Read / Write

If you want to write an original file with a master device the file extension always has to be .org.
If it’s not .org the OptiCan will try to do the checksum of that file.

If you write an original file with a slave then it has to be .pak.
The same reason why counts also for these OptiCans.

 Codingtypes
Master:
read = open File (Binary)
write = open File (Binary)

you can use binary files as much as you want!

 1/2 Master:
read = PAK (coded)
write = TUN (coded)
write = open File (Binary)

you can only use these PAK and TUN files once !

 Slave:
read = PAK (coded)
write = TUN (coded)

you can only use these PAK and TUN files once !

reading protection for your Software

The OptiCan assists you with the protection of your binary files.

That a file can only be read out of the ECU with your device you have to select instead of “No Read” “OptiCan” followed by the serial number and save this.

for instance your serial number is 7020111 then write "OptiCan7020111" in the file then transfer it into the ECU.
